My research lies at the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI) and artificial intelligence (AI). I focus on designing and developing human-centered AI systems that enhance human-AI interaction, improve user experience and technology acceptance, and mitigate potential harms and risks. My key research themes include: Agentic AI, LLM Explainability, LLM-as-a-Judge, Conversational Agents and Interaction, and AI governance and disclosure.

I received my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign co-advised by Brian P. Bailey and Karrie Karahalios. My dissertation focused on “Designing a Conversational Agent for Promoting Participation of Under-Contributing Members in a Small Group Chat Discussion.” I earned my Master’s degree in Computer Science from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Korea University (KU).
